The Sunday Spread
Vol 14: Galavanting as a SAHM, Confidence to work the room, Double strollers and Home Wishlist.
Welcome to The Sunday Spread.
The last Sunday Spread of 2025. To think this all started with me wanting to find a way to be consistent while building the gated community and with sharing what is happening in my life. It’s been something I look forward to and hopefully you look forward to, too. To 2026 and all that will come as I continue to build with you in mind.
What’s on the table this week: I’ve been moving and shaking. I didn’t anticipate not writing these last couple of weeks, but here we are. Christmas was this week and the energy was all a buzz. We didn’t do presents this year, our gift is completed and the credit card to let me do some upgrades.
I have been galavanting. I went to our annual girls night Christmas pajama party, and though it was a christmas theme, I went a different route and fashioned my pajamas around Ralph Lauren Christmas. It was super fun to do and was such a good hit, plus you can’t go wrong with adding fur to anything.
I went to a private event at Somerville hosted by Vineyard Icon. Vineyard Icon was started by Erin Goldson as an ode to life on Martha’s Vineyard. She recently hosted an intimate dinner with Akilah Releford and followed that event up with an Iconic Holiday party. Rubbed shoulders with and met some founders — our favorite girlie Kamie Crawford was in the building with her fiancé, Lance Gross and his wife Bec, the co-founder of Hilltop and Somerville.
He was at the Vineyard Icon holiday party I went to at Somerville, so when he walked past my house days later while cleaning out our garage, I stopped him, interrupted his phone call and fully introduced myself. I don’t know what 2026 has in store, but I feel really good about it. Half the battle is doing the scary thing and sometimes it’s just introducing yourself to people. I’ll let God determine what will come from it, but I wasn’t going to let him walk by and not speak especially when we were in the same room just days before.
I want to continue my journey of going places alone in 2026. Going alone has taught me to be more confident. Sitting in an answered prayer while feeling uncomfortable is something isn’t it?

What I Ate This Week: My husbands encouragement. I’ve been a SAHM now for almost 4 months and he is all in. He’s the most positively impacted by my undivided time at home and it has changed my perspective quite a bit on SAHM life. I had my thoughts when I worked while doing it, but really doing it and letting him handle every thing else, which he is clearly happy to handle, is still new for me.
He’s encouraged me to “find a new intro” basically stop living in the fact that I was laid off. He reminded me that I’ve done and do so many other things and that being a SAHM is what I ultimately wanted — to be able to have that freedom, there is no point in living in the has been and you know what, he’s not wrong.
Emma Grede — I really like her business acumen and what she has to say. You Can Start the Business was such a good episode and not just your average, learn your customer schtick. She really gave solid advice. Go watch for yourself.

Sunday Daydreams: Our Gated Community is growing! Considering I haven’t shown up in 2 weeks, the last thing I thought would be seeing was an influx of new faces, but here we are. Thanks for joining!
I’m daydreaming about Kitchen updates, brown pots and pans and a dreamy rich, chocolatey kitchen. My interior design antennae is all the way up and stretched out, but I’m taking it slow. My husband is visual and I had been wanting to make a collage and vision board for him so he could see what I’m feeling. So far so good. Considering I used to The Sims to basically build our back house, twice, I think I’m alright.
Meal Prep for this coming week: Hitting restart on clean eating. It’s not even that I’ve been eating bad, but I’ve been getting way less cardio in and it’s starting to show. I’m going to break out and break in the new Our Place pan that we got a few months back. I really want to make some Brussel sprouts and home made french fries, so that is coming soon.
I saw a quick bread recipe that wasn’t a sourdough starter, so I think that’s a great place for me to start. We either go through bread at light speed or don’t touch it until it’s time to throw it out. No in between.
What I’m bringing to the table: Encouragement to go alone. Even if you’re meeting someone, don’t feel the need to cling to them. Work the room, spark a conversation, compliment someone. Introduce yourself. I’m no longer buying into the introvert, extrovert conversation. You get what you work for and you get what you ask for and if you steward it well, you get even more. So that’s where I’m at right now.
Period Panties. Honestly after kids I have no desire to use tampons or a cup anymore. I went back to pads for a minute, but then decided that period panties is the way to go. It keeps everything normal and honestly a lot more manageable. 4-7 pairs or more is perfect, but of course it all depends on your cycle.
At the Kids Table: The kids were very excited leading up to Christmas. We had our first movie theater experience with them. We went to see David for our godsons 4th birthday at Century City and it was such a great time. Not only is CC so great during the holidays with all the things they already have going on, both our 18 month old and 3 year old made it through the entire movie. Popcorn and all. Very proud moment for us. We’ve always had a big tradition of going to the movies as a family, but slowed down with the babies, so looking forward to making it a thing again.
They are sleeping in their own big kid beds now, it’s the most glorious thing ever. Not only do I get my bed back, I get my husband back and mom and dad are not complaining. I loved co-sleeping, it was really helpful for us, for both of our kids, but now it’s time to have our own space.
I don’t know what my obsession with stripes is for them, but the vision that I see involves striped duvets and towels — things that feel modern but still childlike. These striped duvets from Crate and Barrel are super nice and come in different colors which I like as well. This is the collage I created to share with my husband.
Riviera Cotton Sheets in Verte Green if we match or Plum Rose for her and Verte green for him.
Wayfair also has Becky Cameron Rugged Striped Sheets in a variety of colors
On Reserve | My Seasonal Wishlist: These weren’t originally a wishlist item at all, but when I saw them I saw them in person.
Adidas Gold Crinkle Sambas — I have them in silver and they remain pretty popular. We were in Adidas to make a return, I saw them in gold, had to have them. I love that I don’t have to do much convincing my husband when it comes to shoes. A metallic shoe done right. It really is a basic without being white or black, it’s a great shoe. Now that doesn’t change the fact that my silver ones tore my ankles up during our family trip, still would say get them — 8/10 recommend.
If I had any plans to wait to refresh our dish ware and glassware, that plan is out the window. We broke another glass yesterday and officially have no more short glasses, only tall glasses, no salad plates. I’m so tickled. That said, I’m going a little overboard with my love for brown. All of these things are giving me refresh inspo — here is the collage I created to share with my husband.
Glass Butter Dish — I keep pretending I don’t need a butter dish, but I do. I really wanted this in green, but it seems like clear is all that is left.
Le Creuset Loaf Dish in Artichau — I forgot that Macy’s high key has the best dish ware and baking ware.
Circulon Chocolate Brown Baking Set — I mean please, the color alone is just beautiful.
Estelle Colored Glass - Rocks glasses in Amber Smoke. These remind me of our wedding glasses, the color that is. We have no short glasses at all and the ones we’re now replacing were a smoke grey color, love the hint of brown in these due to the amber. I want the champagne coupes in Amber Smoke as well.
I think I’m finally finding the rugs and things we want. The vision is starting to finally make sense you know.
What my bank ate this week: I paid off a credit card which is exciting. To zero balances.
The Waiting List | Things needing to be replaced/purchased: A new Dyson vacuum and a new stroller is on the immediate must get list. We had to part ways with our Nuna after mold got to it. Truly the best stroller, held us down, lots of Disney trips, I already miss it. However we’re long overdue for something both of the babies can enjoy. My choices, priced from low to high are:
Mompush Lithe Double $250
Zoe Twin V2 $590 we rented this when we took our summer trip to Orlando. Super great. Easy to maneuver. Easy to close. Didn’t slow me down in the heat.
Silver Cross Jet Double $799 solo or $899 for the full kit (2 snack trays, stroller bag)
I need a double stroller so I can get back to my cardio. I’m ready to hit my 2 a days and hike around the neighborhood. I love the buildup to Christmas and honestly feel a little sad once it’s come and gone.
Until the first Sunday of 2026. Thanks for all of your support on this journey.

The SAHM life can a very uncertain place for us sometimes but my encouragement comes from the fact that God called us to be the helpmates for our husbands. So even if we’re not out working, the home and the kids become our ministry. Cleaning becomes worship, cooking becomes worship, raising the babies up with Christ at the center of our lives is key! Being at home gives us more time to pray and war spiritually for our husbands and to stay close to God. I truly believe that being a SAHW/M is a blessing in disguise because it allows us to strengthen our walk with Abba! 🤎 YOU GOT THIS MOMMA! Watch how God moves for you and the family in 2026!
xx thank you <3
