What’s on the table this week: Colorado won the weekend before and that boosted my mood, but then they lost this past Friday and it is such a bummer. Not because I take it personal, but because I just want everyone under Deions care to thrive, him included. I was out having a great time with my girl friends at dinner, but I would have loved to come back to see they got the W. Houston is good though so I’m sure they’ll have a good season ahead. I’ve really been enjoying the football, especially while it’s in abundance.
The shower door went up and it’s beautiful. We have the toilet, new mirror and vanity. I was super nervous because I had two options for our contractor and the first one the reviews were super bad, which how did I not notice? So I was nervous he chose that one, but he chose the other choice and it looks great!
Ya’ll I was gifted PR from Miu Miu for their new Miutine fragrance and it came with a mini creator microphone that is perfect for vlogs or talking directly to the camera and it is so so cute. I started using it and the response from my community has been so great! It literally makes me laugh using it, but it’s so fun and so cute and it would be this microphone that encourages me to talk a little more.
What I Ate This Week: Whew a lil too much this week which made me realize how our kids do not need to be on their own accord when it comes to social media and the internet. I know I won’t be able to protect them forever, but I am glad I’ll be able to have an answer for my decisions and reasonings when that time comes.
“Letting go is part of the rhythm” - Myleik
I couldn’t wait to listen to A Q4 Roadmap: Anchors, Audits & Resets, Myleik Teele’s latest podcast episode and rightfully so. She helps make things so simple, yet so thoughtful and her voice is so lovely to listen to.
Girls night got a double up. Two Friday’s in a row and honestly it feels like Friday night should automatically be for the mamas. After a week of doing it all, it just feels like Friday has to be ours. Anyway, we went to Two Hommes in Inglewood and celebrated our girl friend and her family being in town and my husband surprised us by paying for our drinks in advance. It was super thoughtful of him. On top of that we had a lovely shot of tequila compliments of the chef. It’s so good to all be together in one room again
Sunday Daydreams: I’m dreaming about a time where I can be with all of my friends, all at once. We have some friends visiting right now and I love seeing our village together the way it was before we moved, even before kids. I would love to rewind to my wedding day, it was so fun and just the perfect crowd, perfect people. That is what I would like to go back to.
Meal Prep for this coming week: Soup and one pot meals are upon us. Between that and non-alcholic bevy’s, though I’ve been having my share of alcoholic bevy’s, I’m really looking forward to finding my way around the kitchen more.
I made the Vanilla Bean Syrup from
of Softer Than Expected. It’s so good and it honestly feels like a flex to use my own syrup. Plus fewer ingredients. Yeah, I love that for me.Their is a creator named Morgan Yates, she’s engaged and I came across her page after she hosted a 1 year to the wedding party, party and wow. Not only has she hosted other Supper in the Suburb themed events, as she affectionately calls it, they just keep getting better.
Maybe it’s her outdoor space, maybe it’s my history and love for events that I never fully quenched, but I brought her up because in the same vein of meal prep, because she is releasing a Recipe Mail Club. Somehow I’m convinced pretty packaging and done for me recipes will make me become a better cook, but ultimately become the ultimate hostess I’ve always wanted to be. All I know is I want to revisit that part of my life without turning into a pillar of salt. My other favorites include: Olivia McDowell and Akilah Redford.
What I’m bringing to the table: I received a PR package from Miu Miu for their new Miutine fragrance and ya’ll it came with the Miu Miu branded microphone! I saw it a few times on social and thought how cute, how cool and low and behold it arrived for me. I feel like this is a sign that I should pick up my talking and really lean into the creator space. I still don’t know that being a full time creator is my thing, but there are other aspects of it that I do want to experience. I would have to really lock in. But if I want that, I can do it.
At the Kids Table: What’s a fun modern theme for a kids room? I’m working on the kids room and updating their sheets and trying to get a theme going. H&M Home has the cutest sheets and blankets right now so hoping to get that handled, but I’ll share all of that in a FW 2025 Wish List Kids Edition.
On Reserve | My Seasonal Wishlist: Okay so now that we’re getting closer to wrapping up things as far as our addition, I’m looking at new potentials for furnishing and making the space livable. I want to move slow but swift. Focus on the outward facing things and then come back to the things that are less noticeable.
As far as my wish list, pretty much everything I ordered around Labor Day has arrived and it’s all perfection. My Marcela NY Sheer turtlenecks!!!! The way these are about to my staple, the sheer element gives it elevated sexy, but I also love that they have a non sheer option. I really enjoyed wearing it, love how breathable it is. Definitely a new staple. On top of that the quality and the thumbholes! In love. I received so many compliments.
My CUUP bras arrived and I’m already about to order some more. There is nothing like a brand new bra and the black mesh balconette under the black sheer turtleneck, yeah, a look.
What my bank ate this week: Sephora and a fall coded grocery store run. A quick run down of my seasonal fall favorites. Trader Joe’s it’s the Honey Crisp Apple yogurt, Pumpkin’ Os which each year I start to love them a lil less or at least need less boxes to scratch my itch. Pumpkin Bagels, Pumpkin Malk, Sugar cookies with Pumpkins (like the OG pillsbury ones that pop up during the season, very nostalgic). I think my favorite thing I’ve picked up is the pumpkin Malk, it’s the perfect addition to my iced lattes without overpowering it with a crazy pumpkin taste. Oh yes and my Pumpkin Noosa yogurt of course.
I ran out of my Josie Maran and while I have other stuff I can use, I really really like the body butter. So I picked up a refill of Topless Tangerine.
I picked up some new fragrances that I could not leave without. Cherry Stem by Phlur and She Was Here by Forvr Mood (currently sold out on Sephora). First they both fragrances smell luscious on their own. Together, even more delicious. I would definitely buy the full size of both. This is my first fragrance from Forvr Mood. Outside of the notes, the color of the bottle let me know all I needed to know. It just felt like it would be something that I would enjoy. Hearing others share the notes and then finally smelling it myself, it was a must.
I also picked up some Refy Face Hydrating and Plumping setting spray, my first Refy purchase. I was torn between One Size, which I’ve used before, and Charlotte Tilbury, which I’ve also used before. However, when I can’t decide between two brands that I normally use, I choose something new. So far the Refy is holding up. It was put to work at Church today and it help up. My lashes didn’t, but that’s beside the point.
The lashes in question were Lilly Lashes, Self Adhesive Lashes in Money Maker. The lashes stick once they warm up to your body heat. I wore them to dinner with the girls and surprisingly they stayed on beautifully. I wore them on Sunday for church and they were great until I was apparently too hot? Good with body heat, but not too much heat. If I were to try them again, I would only wear them with eye liner. I feel like the lashes high key need something else to grip on to. I needed a brief break from my lash clusters, but love a good complete look with lashes.
More Laura Mercier setting powder, ultra blur this time. So far that has held up beautifully. I was supposed to try Hourglass but I got sidetracked with the setting spray fiasco. Lastly I picked up a Dream Coat Color Wow Spray because it was on sale.
I also received my latest Necessaire order which was for the Olibanum deodorant and lip balm. Both are giving me all that I need. I love that Necessaire went back to their stick deodorant because the gel one was not it, for me personally. Olibanum smells so good, it’s definitely a favorite of mine. The lip balm is well done in a Necessaire way. Probably the best mint lip balm I’ve used and that is so specific. It doesn’t dry your lips out as mint lip balms sometimes can. Though mint can be refreshing there isn’t crazy overkill on the minty-ness if that makes sense.
The Waiting List | Things needing to be replaced or purchased: I’ll come back to this next Sunday.
Until next Sunday.

Ahh yess, Im glad you loved the syrup. It’s so good and that’s probably why i make the same latte everyday 😭. Also, very much loving jaz with the mic lol. I remember your chit chat days via youtube and I loved them. Felt like a facetime call. Lastly, would love to converse on your thoughts on full time content creation (will prob text you lol). I find myself conflicted despite doing it full time at one point and being successful. Something feels harder/different though this time around.
